Subject: New I.M. Policies
Due to the vast harassment via I.M. networks, through unsolicited spam, etc, ALL contacts must be registered with us before we will accept any message from you via these methods. Only CURRENT clients will be authorized, and only if you're on a plan which supports this. While we regret the inconvenience this has caused, there are (literally) thousands of messages a day coming into our windows that are spam, and this must be addressed quickly and effectively. This is the only way that is possible to do this. To register your contact with us, simply open a helpdesk ticket with the appropriate medium and your contact information. Again, this will only be done for clients, not pre-sales information. This doesn't mean we're taking down our "live support" client, as these issues have not popped up there, but we can not continue to provide open I.M. windows where everyone and their brother can continue to spam us. Again, we regret the inconvenience that this has caused.
